At the Civic Advocacy Network of Nigeria, we recognize that meaningful change depends on equipping young Nigerians to lead. The Youth Policy Leaders Fellowship is a transformative six-month program for emerging civic leaders between the ages of 18 and 35. Fellows participate in hands-on workshops, policy simulations, and direct mentorship from experienced professionals in policy, economics, and governance.
Throughout the program, participants engage in real-world projects and advocacy campaigns, gaining practical experience in influencing public policy and mobilizing communities. The Fellowship culminates in a capstone project where fellows propose solutions to pressing economic challenges, presenting their findings to policymakers and civic leaders. Our goal is to build a new generation of informed, confident, and capable advocates for economic sustainability.
Poverty Watch Nigeria is an innovative data-driven platform that tracks poverty trends and economic inequality across the country. By providing real-time, publicly accessible data, we empower citizens, journalists, and policymakers with the information needed to make smarter, more compassionate decisions. Our research includes mapping poverty hotspots, analyzing policy impacts, and publishing annual Poverty Reports.
In addition to providing data, we also host forums and discussions around the findings, fostering dialogue between affected communities, researchers, and government agencies. By shedding light on the realities behind the statistics, Poverty Watch Nigeria helps to shift the focus from abstract numbers to human-centered policies that truly make a difference.
Community Action Labs are grassroots innovation hubs where local communities come together to identify, design, and advocate for economic solutions tailored to their specific challenges. Facilitated by the Civic Advocacy Network of Nigeria, these labs foster collaboration between community members, local leaders, policy experts, and entrepreneurs to co-create actionable ideas.
Each Lab culminates in a Community Action Plan that outlines practical steps for local economic development, from supporting small businesses to improving access to credit or training. By putting solutions in the hands of the people most affected, Community Action Labs strengthen civic ownership and ensure that economic reforms are inclusive, realistic, and sustainable.
The Women in Policy Network is a platform dedicated to empowering women to actively participate in shaping economic policies at all levels of governance. We offer leadership training, policy literacy workshops, and mentorship programs that equip women with the knowledge and confidence to engage in civic dialogue, advocate for change, and hold institutions accountable.
By building a strong network of female policy influencers, activists, and thought leaders, we aim to address the underrepresentation of women in economic decision-making spaces. The Women in Policy Network envisions a Nigeria where women’s perspectives and experiences are central to developing policies that foster equality, prosperity, and justice.
